Super

I’ve become addicted to yet another TV show. Have you seen this new one that came out on NBC, called Heroes? I love it. As some of you may already know, I have a thing for superheroes. A fetish if you will.  Ever since I was little I’ve wanted to be one.  I like helping people. I’d love to be super-special in a way that no one else is. (Some of you may argue that I already am “super-special”, but I mean in a useful way, okay?) Super strength, super speed, super anything, I’ll take it. Well, maybe not super size, heh.

So anyway, Heroes focuses are several individuals who are discovering that they have special powers. I don’t mind the overlap with X-men at all, because I adore X-men. The angle is a little different from X-men though. There is no “leader” who is organizing them and showing them how to use their powers or giving them purpose. These are ordinary people with very real day to day problems. The acting is good, and I’m enjoying the storyline so far.  The teleporting Japanese dude is especially funny. If any of this sounds at all interesting to you, you should check it out!  They just showed the second episode this week, but if you missed the first two, I think you can catch up by going to NBC’s website where they have some video clips… or maybe even the entire episode. It’s good drama, even if you’re not so much into superheroes like I am.
