Sometimes, it really sucks to be me

I just overwrote two days of work. And no amount of obsessive Ctrl-Z hitting can undo it. No backups. Nothing can save me. Today, I am undeniably, unequivocally, a complete idiot. I’ve left my brain at home and the dogs have buried it in the back yard. Two days of work. Piff. Gone.

Boneheaded moron.

I’m going to huddle in the corner and cry for a bit. Then I’m going to pick myself up, clean the snot off my face, and attempt to redo two days of work… in five hours.

If I go missing for more than a week, please look for my bullet-riddled remains buried somewhere at the base of my office building. My boss and coworkers will likely have the smoking guns. They’ll claim it was a mercy killing.

Deep breath. Steady. I can do this.
