Oh Happy Day!
Amidst all this thunder and disaster, a ray of light has peeked through. I have just made a discovery that makes me not feel so much anguish over my blog mishap. Thanks to a little help from my friend Amber, I found out that I didn’t lose all my comments after all! Can you see me wiggling with joy? I am so thrilled!!
On my old blog, if you click on the Comments link, it takes you to a dead Blogger page. No surprise there. But what I forgot about, and this really is a dumb oversight on my part, is that if you click on the timestamp at the bottom of each post, it takes you to a page with that post all by itself… and all the comments listed! I thank my lucky stars that I decided against hosting on Blogger, because then I would have lost everything. I still have to manually copy and past every damn thing back into place, but at least I have it! And I’m thankful.
Oh! Speaking of comments! My other friend Miss Ann Thrope helped me figure out how to make my commenting box all nifty cool! It now has a useful preview function… and AVATARS! I figured out how to integrate Gravatar functionality, so if you’ve got your lovely mug loaded up in a Gravatar account, it’ll display here.
Things are looking up! Yaaayyyy! You’ll have to forgive the bland template for a while. That’s going to take the longest to tweak because I want to do it right.
