Not that desperate
Last night we decided to rent Disc 1, Season 1 of Desperate Housewives. All this hype about that show and how great it was and all the awards they won… we were curious. The last time we tried out a show because of all the awards (Emmys? Grammies? Oscars? Who knows and who cares.) we discovered we absolutely loved CSI. It was a great find, so let’s try out this show!
We watched it. I don’t understand, what’s so great about it? All these rich families on the verge of complete breakdown because they’re all so superficial and about as communicative as toads. (Actually a toad spoke to me once. Tried to convince me it was a prince. “Kiss me and I’ll make all your dreams come true!” it said. Frickin toad, what do you know? I was waiting for my princess! So I threw the toad back into the dirt (okay I’m not that mean, I gently placed it) and a year later I found my princess. Isn’t that sweeeet?)
So anyway, sweetypie didn’t like it much either. We just can’t relate. I think the best part of the three episodes we watched was when Terri Hatcher’s character gets locked out of her house without her bath towel. Hey I’m all for nudity in television programming.
...What? Like you aren’t.
At least now we’ve gotten our curiosity satisfied. We’re not missing a thing. We’re not that desperate for entertainment.
