Lightbulb
We were watching an episode of Private Practice last night. One of the patients in the show had come down with a sexually transmitted virus (or something) that causes cancer. It had manifested in his throat and spread to his jawbone. The following conversation between me and my honey took place in response to this:
Me: Wait, so… it’s a sexually transmitted thing that his girlfriend gave to him…
Honey: Yes.
Me: Shouldn’t the cancer be, you know, farther south?
Honey: It’s in his throat.
Me: Yeah, I know, but-
Honey: It’s in his throat...
Me: ...it’s… ohhhhh…
Me: Did you see that lightbulb over my head slowly flicker on?
Honey: Yup. It was very cute.
In case any of you are still in the dark, the show later explained that sexually transmitted diseases can be transmitted via oral sex.
