It soothes the soul
As much as I love techno, trance and other electronica, there are times when I am just in no mood for the thumping. Sometimes I need the soul-soothing sounds of some accoustic guitar. The skill needed for some of the elaborate string-picking of spanish guitar really impress me. I would love to be able to play, but my fingers just aren’t tough enough. You need to have some thick calluses to protect you from having to press down hard on those those steel strings. I’ve tried it. Ouch. I hated it. Add that to the fact that I have no patience for learning music, and this is why I play no instruments. Unless drumming on my steering wheel counts.
