How can anyone like this movie?

I’ve never seen Napoleon Dynamite. I keep hearing references to it, and apparently a lot of people seem to like this movie, so when it came on TV I decided to give it a try. The opening credits were interesting enough, but after that… WTF.  I managed to sit through the first half hour of this drivel and for the life of me I cannot figure out what the plot is. It’s just a series of totally pointless scenes with the biggest bunch of expressionless losers I’ve ever seen. What exactly is the point of this movie?? More importantly, what can anyone possibly like about it? It’s just plain stupid.
