It’s cute, but it’s a zippy somewhat aggressive cute. Not the cartoony Hello Kitty cute that the VW Beetle is.
Whenever we repatriate (next year?) we’ll need to buy cars again. I’m thinking a Mini Cooper might just be what I should get. It is cute, but not cutesy and I like that.
I love the minis, so cute. I coveted my new car for many, many years before I finally was willing to make a car payment. But when the time is right, you know it.

I’ve been obsessing about the Mini for so long now. I have a nice reliable, inexpensive Hyundai but I want one of those. I’m debating getting one when I’m not making such an insane commute anymore.
Whatever you do, don’t drive one unless you are ready to purchase! I drove my friend’s Mini and now my CRV just doesn’t cut it anymore
I console myself with the fact that I can’t put a kayak on the top of a Mini.

I have the redneck version of the Mini Cooper - I call mine the “Mini Pooper.” it is an early 90s geo metro. I think the cooper is even smaller than my lil pooper.
I think I will paint mine up to look like a cooper with strips and a black top. Maybe no one will notice.
If you get one - get a purple one so I can be reallllly jealous.
Tai Tai, they seem like fun little cars while still having a bit of practicality in them in that they have 4 seats and a hatchback.

Robin, my commute used to be about 45 minutes in heavy freeway traffic. An automatic vehicle was mandatory in order to retain my sanity. But it hasn’t been for some time now, ever since I moved to this part of town. I can totally picture myself zipping around in a manual Mini now!
Otter, too late. I test drove one this weekend. It’s kinda weird inside, very different, but neat. As for the kayak, that’s not true. They have luggage racks for Minis available. I used to tie a kayak to the top of my old Civic hatchback. It’s actually easier because it’s not so high up.
Weese, no I don’t have a beetle. I always thought they were way too girly-cute for my taste.
