For weather reasons, the Canada Day fireworks in Stirling were postponed from July 1 to July 4. So Canada Day fireworks on an anniversary of treason against King and country.
But I like the sight and sound of fireworks and the smell of cordite.
I’ve got mixed feelings on fireworks. However, it’s raining today, so it may be a moot point
lol
Ooh I wish it was raining, would make it a beautiful day. And a quieter one too.
Bobolink, when was the U.S. part of Canada?
Avitable, you slave driver.
Canada was one of the 15 British North American colonies. We were invaded by the Continental Army in 1775 but managed to resist. My part of Ontario was first settled by refugees from the 13 colonies who had their property and civil rights stripped from them for being on the losing side. Its unofficial name is “Loyalist Shores”. Benedict Arnold is a Canadian hero.
My American History textbooks neglected to inform me of any of that. It’s all very rah rah isn’t America great? They brainwash us early you know.
