Man I hate moments like that!  I hope the storm blows over quickly for you

There are times when I’m talking to someone...making perfect sense to myself...that I soon realize that they are taking what I mean out of context.

I’ve struggled with this for awhile and sometimes really have to watch myself with certain people because they are touchy or don’t get me at times.

Hope this situation clears up soon for you.

Unbalanced, thank you. I think it will.

Mike, that’s exactly how I felt! It made perfect sense at the time. But later on I can see how it could be easily taken the wrong way and could really have been worded better.

I understand this completely. speaking before thinking.. one of my biggest challenges. I will tell you this. After 21 years with a very patient woman - I am getting better smile

I frequently suffer from foot-in-mouth disease.  I hope you find a way get out of the doghouse soon.  Maybe a big, romantic gesture is in order?

Some Mary Kate and Ashley perfume might do the trick!!

I so hear you.  I am always saying things that come out not how I mean it.  I’m a pretty direct person which also gets me in trouble with people who aren’t used to being told how it is. Makes me glad BP does not read my blog, or have her own blog.

I’m sure things will work for you.  You two have a strong relationship, I know you must posess so charm that will get you out of the dog house.

Ah I feel your pain! I am a bad communicator (haha that rhymes with fornicator).
No seriously..I’ll try to talk to the hub about something and I tend to stumble over my words and totally screw up what I intended to say...it’s definitely no fun.

bitchet, those guys have their own perfume now? Heh, actually, who doesn’t?

Zoe, things always work out in the end. That’s the beautiful part.

undo-schmundo.

Life is full of these little mishaps. Don’t be too hard on yourself or sweat the little stuff wink

mg | 05.09.2006 | 2:09 PM

Good luck with that one.  I’ve been guilty and wish I had an undo button too.

Keb | 05.09.2006 | 5:28 PM

OMG.  I agree.  Sometimes communicating is the wrong thing to do for me.  I am constantly saying things the wrong way or saying things I should probably keep to myself until I am sure I actually want them out there.

Deb_LA | 05.17.2006 | 12:05 PM

OMG, do I ever need one of those.. one that keeps history back to 20 or 30 mistakes so I can just keep UNDO’ing.

Its like I have no filter between how I feel and the words I say.

Somedays are far worse than others.
