Tab Energy may be the most vile thing I have ever tasted. On the other hand, Diet Dr. Pepper is the most underrated drink on the planet.
Tab is totally nasty. Fresca, on the other hand, is just grapefruity goodness at it’s best. At least one revival from the seventies made sense!

I used to like Tab years and years ago, but haven’t had the guts to try this stuff.
You may want to keep a can around if you ever need to clean your battery cables…
Battery cables? Ack! And people drink this stuff? Sounds like it’s like drinking Drano.
What does Tab taste like? Is there any other drink you can compare it to? Is it like… licorice or something?
P.S. - Fresca and Diet Dr. Pepper are both totally underrated!
Oh GDG, Tab was/is the nastiest tasting crap on the planet. All my mother (aka The Beast) ever ordered was Tab with lemon on the side. I never understood why the lemon had to be on the side, because the second she got it, she would toss them all right into the drink. Who knows. I always suspected that TAB stood for Tasteless Ass Boogers. *L*

My maternal was also one of those “death before wasting food” people.
She used to make eggnog for breakfast, and one morning she accidentally spiced the nog with garlic instead of nutmeg. She was very puzzled as to why her kids, who usually loved eggnog, each took a sip of eggnog before suddenly realizing they were horrifically late for school and running out the door, until she sat down and took a sip of her own.
According to my mother, she actually poured it all down the drain.

Hmmm...I’m wondering if Tab was an American thing, I haven’t seen it yet in Canada. Cream Soda though, that was the drink of choice as a kid, I forever had pink stains down the front of everything I owned.
you are simply too young. tab was the first great diet soda drink..back in the late 70’s - when it first came out it had saccharin - which tasted better than it does today. we used to mix it with Stoli.... we called it a ‘stab’ cocktail.
it has recently started to be available again here in the NE - so we buy some once in while for nostalgia.

Eww! TAB? I saw that at Kroger the other day but skipped it. I remember back in the day tasting it and gagging so I won’t bother with it again.
