I have nothing but problems with Java - maybe I should try MS Java instead.
Always fun to play around with the system settings when it’s not your own personal system
I’m pretty happy with Firefox, but I might do that for my wife’s since she uses IE with SP2.
Actually, I’m VERY happy with Firefox.
I’ve always detested Java. Maybe it’s just me? It is a million times better than ShockW though, so it’s got that goin for it.
My captcha is skanky...that makes my night.
Here’s a question for ya ...
Went to fix daughter’s printer yesterday, and when I went into properties, everything was in Dutch. I swear.
It kind of made me giggle though.
But seriously, how the hell did that happen? There wasn’t an option anywhere to switch languages.
Weirdness.
Anyway, I uninstalled the whole thing but have yet to reinstall.
Speaking zee Dootch?
My captcha word is numskull. You’s real funny girlie. :p
Robin, if I knew what was wrong with your site, I would! <i>Is</i> there something wrong?
Avi, it’s worth a try. It’s pretty easy to swtich back and forth, especially when you have access to your advanced browser settings (which most people do).
Dave, I wasn’t doing it for fun. If the IT dept. around here wasn’t so paranoid, I wouldn’t have to be diddling around with the registry. All you have to do is go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab.
Mia, I’ve never liked Java much myself. But there’s an application we have to use in order to do web development on the sites here. That only works properly with MS Java.
J, Dutch?? Wow that’s something I’ve never encountered before. Were there language options during the install? If it happens again, let me know what exactly you’re installing (like what brand and all that) and I can do some research.
Thanks babe.
I’m going to go do a reinstall later this afternoon.
Dutch! Too funny. I’ve never encountered that. Like I said, it kind of made me giggle.
I think there is just something wrong with me.
Robin, trust me, there’s something wrong with all of us.
J, I went to babelfish.altavista.com to use their translation tool to write something clever in Dutch. I wanted to write “Are you sure you want to print? Click No to exit and Yes to kill another tree.” This translated into, “Bent u zeker u wilt drukken? Klik Nr om ja een andere boom weg te gaan en te doden.” Just to check, I plugged that back into the tranlator to turn it back into English, and this came out: “Are you certainly you want press? Click no. to leave and kill yes another tree.” I definitely won’t be depending on this as a translator if I ever go to the Netherlands!
Too funny!
I still haven’t done the reinstall.
I am ProcrastinatorWoman.
I think I need a cape and some goggles.
LOL ...
You realize you’d never put the cape and goggles on because, eh, it can wait…
I have NO idea what you just said but if you want to fix my site you are welcome to :D
