When I was little, I always wanted to have a snail as a pet. But, unfortunately, I could never find any in our yard. If I would have known that all it would take to attract snails from miles around was a garden, I would have started one long ago.
I was debating about whether or not I’d get some food and THEN nap or have a nap and THEN food… and after reading your post, I’m thinking I won’t need any food for another hour or 15, at least. Ugh!
I’m all about making decisions easier for people. Have a great nap!
Sara, my childhood pets were potato bugs. All you needed to have in the yard was dirt, heehee.
J, perhaps a little ant colony might help.
try beer. it works on slugs.
Potato bugs are cool, wait..are you talking about the ones you touch and they curl up into a little ball? Well that’s what we called them, potato bugs.
Now as far as the snails go..all I can think of is the crunch crunch crunch sound when ya step on them.
lalalalallaaaaa....I can’t hear you! I can’t hear you! I’m terrified of snails and slugs. Heh. I know, irrational fear and stuff, whatever.
Weese, I’m trying to imagine one of the stories minors try to use to illegally buy beer, “I’m not gonna drink it, it’s for snails!”
Donna, ack I don’t like that sound. Each crunch to me is the sound of a life ending. I’m such a sap.
KG, well it’s a good thing you can outrun them. Uh… you can outrun a snail, can’t you?
No, I can’t....because I’m FROZEN in FEAR.
Ohhh I see. I’m sorry to hear that. But at least you’ve got a good 5-30 minutes before it can actually catch you! Someone should be able to hear your terrified screams by then.
wood ashes like from a fireplace. get some. sprinkle around the garden. The little buggers will not cross the line.
cool, huh?
ps: my captcha word is “yuck”
"FRY!” >CRUNCH<
“FRY!” >CRUNCH<
“Eddie, how many times do I have to tell you? Snails can’t fly!”
LOL!
I love how your mind works girl.
The snails are eating all my plants though. I want them dead. DEAD!
