Well you may not be able to judge a book by it’s cover, but I always pick out movies by their covers. And the less covered they are the more likey I am to pick them.
And thank you work verification for calling me a tramp.
Ah yes, movie covers can be an important deciding factor in the decision, especially if you’ve never heard of it.
Jaw, I agree, with the exception of my honey, internet people are funner to interact with than non-internet people. You feel free to be the self you always wanted to be.
Beauty and the Beast is a classic!I’m a big lumiere fan. And you’re right, tha anonimity of the blogoverse totally gives you the freedom to be yourself and people have no choice but to take it at face value because they don’t have any pre-conceived notions based on appearances. I’m a very reserved person naturally and unfortuantely people sometimes translate that as snobby or bitchy, but I’m not! Really! But I am a goof and oddly enough that’s my word verification.
Okay, I ended up somewhere weird. No Beauty and the Beast...no Lumier/The Cop From Law & Order. *sigh*
What’s funny is when people tell you what they think you look like based on what they know of you via your blog. On my old one, I had people that had been reading for a while comment what they thought I looked like, and I was everything from a “short asian chic” to “just like Dharma from Dharma and Greg.” I thought it was hysterical.
I love the “looking past my unpolished exterior and seeing the inside”! I love it! Beauty & the beast sums it up perfectly!
Have you ever been duped by anyone on the internet, or more specific, by their blog?
I have. Only once, thankfully. It’s pretty shitty when it happens.
But other than that, I LOVE my internet girlfriends. You’re right, they get ME, pure and simple.
Now as for talking only about yourself (your comment) I LOVE when you talk about yourself. And now you have me wondering what you would have said.
Spill it sistah.
My word veri - ANAL. That’s not nice.
LOL…
Wild Blue, it’s funny how many inhibitions we put upon ourselves in person. I’ve gotten past many of mine in recent years, but I still have so many more.
Maggie, I’m afraid you lost me there. I guess I ended up someplace weird too!
Nicole, that is funny! How does one picture what a blogger looks like? From bits and pieces they’ve gathered from you writing? Where’d they get Asian from?? heehee
Jen, I am so totally unpolished. Even my nails are plain. But on rare occasions I’ve been known to clean up pretty good.
J, I somehow completely missed your comment! I think we posted at the same time and I just didn’t notice. So anyway, I guess I will go back and recall what I might have said. I shall spill it! (Be sure to have paper towels handy.)
I’ve enjoyed getting to know people through blogging and basically take everyone at face value...until they’ve proven I shouldn’t anyway.
and
Always a plus when your content is enjoyed by your significant other.
Thanks for having me this week, My stay was great. I know who else loves Beauty and the Beast! ME
I know a few people like that chick. You’re not the only one.
Myself, Mom and I never really got along until I had my daughter. Now, I feel like I wasted a lot of time.
To each his own babe.
*L*
new reader....love your blog
Yeah. Your content sucks.
Kidding! I heart you!
I do think she resembles you a lot...if you just add a little bit of makeup!
I love the internet for alot of the same reasons.
I don’t trust people, period. On the net I can be who I am and not worry about putting up fake appearances. People like me for me. Its great. I enjoy interent people more then I do non internet.
Its easier to let your true self leak out when your hiding behind a screen.
