I’m the same way… I hate watching movies that are depressing or scary because who wants to pay to feel that way when you can just turn on the freaking news. (which I don’t watch either.)
I’m a BIG relaxer. But, like you, I need a book or something to occupy my mind.
I posted those Cancun pics on my flickr if you want to look.
I have a hard time napping too.
Sitting my ass at the computer I can do all day though hehe (to me that’s relaxing)
I’m exactly the same way, I always have to be doing something and often more than one thing at a time. If I’m watching tv I’m usually on the computer and eating or doing my nails or bills or something else. I don’t take naps unless I am exhausted, I’d rather be doing something. When I lay in a hammock I read a book...only because I know if I bring my laptop I’ll end up dropping it on the ground.
For relaxing I can’t just nap either. I cross stitch/sew for to relax. I can get lost in a pattern for hours.
I understand where you’re coming from, because I can’t do nothing while on vacation. I know plenty of people who are perfectly happy sitting on the beach and drinking for days on end, but to me that’s a waste to visit a new destination and not explore it. The only downside is I need a vacation from my vacation since I spent it running around all over the place!
So true! Traveling is a form of work too. I always try to schedule one or two free days at the end of the vacation period to unwind from the trevel stress!
I’m all about boredom. I could lay on a beach all day and be lost in my thoughts and totally mesmerized by the ocean. sigh. I wish I was there now.
