People buy broken lamps? Wow. I did put up a bunch of stuff onto Craigslist actually, in preparation for a yard sale we’ll be having next weekend. We gotta go through the rest of the junk to see what else there is.
I move every year, twice. One half of a room and it’s a pain in the ass. Can’t imagine moving a whole house...*shudder*
I’m also the worst packrat evear. I save everything. lol
I’ve moved (counting) 4 times in the last 4 years, no lie. Each time was more of a pain in the ass than the last time. Our most recent move to our house was pure hell since we had almost no help at all and we had more shit than ever before. WE had a yard sale and sold things via Craigslist.
Next time...I don’t care HOW much it costs I’m hiring moving people.
Our last move we did actually hire a couple of guys that look for work at the Home Depot. They were immensely helpful because we had hardly any help. However this time I guess we had lots of sympathy points because we are getting all kinds of help from family members.
Well, family help is good, too!
Oh I hate moving, I’m sorry for anyone who has to go through it! I hire movers.
During our last move, I gave a bunch of stuff to Goodwill...I should have sold it.
I HATE MOVING, I HATE PACKING AND UNPACKING...MOST OF ALL I HATE ALL THE MESS!!
I know, me too. It tires me out more than anything else!
Just go to Home Depot, pick up some of the random illegal immigrants standing on the corner, and pay them $50 plus lunch each to move your stuff, especially if you’re moving close to your current house.
And you should always list something on Craigslist before trashing it. When we moved from LA, we made an extra $1500 just selling the random shit that we were going to throw away by listing it on Craigslist. Broken lamps, old electronics, boxes, anything.
