Oh so many!
REO Speedwagon singing “Keep on loving you” reminds me couples skating, it was the first song I learned to skate backwards to.
Anything by the BeeGees reminds me of summer at the lake with my cousin and my uncle...he loved the BeeGees so they were played over and over.
“You dropped a bomb on me” by the Gap Band reminds me of my first months living in my mom’s custody again, in Detroit.  Sorta good times…
Al Green “for the good times” makes me think of just about every man who has broken my heart, because it’s one of those cd’s I put in for just that mood…

Dammit!  You KNOW that stuff is going to be stuck in my brain for awhile now, right?
I love and hold dear too many songs to even start to think about listing them.

So many to chose from!

Guns N Roses-Sweet Child of Mine has some brilliant memories attached to it, most of which include my best mate and me doing air guitar! LOL

Everytime I hear “Waterfalls” by TLC, I remember my first french kiss with my first official boyfriend.  I can’t really say I like the song but I don’t hate it.  The memory of it all is still crazy for me.

And, when I hear the song Jungle Love by Steve Miller Band, I think of riding in my dad’s camaro with my parents and brother - the T tops off.  Man that’s a million years ago!

100% Pure Love - my first gf and I dancing wildly around the dance floor. We were both in college.

"November Rain”, Guns and Roses reminds me of a period of my life I would like to forget, yet I can’t ever seem to shut off the radio when it comes on.

“Mind Games” by John Lennon.  The song I lost my virginity to.

Any song by Journey but specifically “Lights”, reminds me of a long drive I took with just my daughter from Florida to Georgia.  We had so much fun laughing and singing.  She was only 9 years old then.  She’s about to turn 19 now.

Good memories.

Happy Birthday seems to remind me that I’m getting old.

"I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred reminds me of just out of college.
“I Wanna Be a Cowboy” by whoever reminds me of high school.
“Dirty White Boy” ? a particular guy.
“Footloose” by Kenny Loggins is my first boyfriend.

Hot in Here by Nelly. It reminds me off the best summer of my life, so far, when it came out in 2004.

About 800 songs from the early 50’s to now and every one brings back a memory. Mostly good, some better.
I play them every day while reading blogs.

I told you I’d be back smile

Always something there to remind me - reminds me of my first real b/f in high school.  To this day, which is kinda scary and makes me want to see if he’s on My Space.  But I don’t do My Space, so the point is mute.

Blister in the sun- Violent Femmes:  My good friend Mitch from college used to sing this on his acoustic guitar in the stairwell to me.  I heard it on the radio, not long ago and got back in touch with him.  He’s married and living in Maine, but the best part, still singing… for a living now.  Albeit, not a profitable one, but singing nonetheless.

Oh man, there are so many! “It’s Raining Men” - Geri Halliway and “Day and Night” - Billy Piper both remind me of when my husband and I first started going out.

“Tonight” - New Kids on the Block reminds me of the first boy/girl party I went to. I was 11, it was 1 month before I left New Zealand

I don’t know the title or artist to this next one, but the chorus goes “You and me baby are nothing but mammals, so let’s do it like they do on the discovery channel” - this one reminds me of uni because it was on constantly in the student lounge, the first year of my studying there.

The list goes on and on and on, but I’ll refrain myself from hogging your entire commenting space wink

There are two that stand out for me.  The first is Landslide performed by Smashing Pumpkins.  This song always reminds me of my BFF.  No mater if I’ve just seen her or its been awhile since we have talked it always makes my feel a lil sad. The other is......Oh shoot brain fart.  I hate that lost the name of the song.  I’ll be back of I can remember it.

That would be “Jump!” by The Pointer Sisters.  It reminds me of this Jump rope for Heart fundraiser we did in junior high.  We had to come up with some jump rope routine to that song.
Yeah, I know...corny. wink

Too many to mention.  Every man I’ve ever had a relationship with has sung songs at me.

One that does merit mention is Love Song by the Cure...it was playing the first time me and Mr. C were ah, um...doing stuff.  Cooking!  Yeah, that’s it!  We were cooking...pancakes, i believe.

Miss Ann Thrope | 06.30.2006 | 10:40 AM

Ahh yes, pancakes for dinner....  wink
