Nobody in particular, but I appreciate the gesture Vixen. Good to know I have people willing to fly into a rage on my behalf. I was “inspired” by a bit of the shitstorm on Mike’s blog ("A New Random").
I read his blog to, and it lead me to the blog he was referring to. I did not even know what to say. The woman was passing judgment, but she felt she was doing good and trying to help. What I thought was interesting was she has been with women sexually before, so she felt she had a right to make the comments (judgments) she did. It just burned me out, so I quit reading it. People let her have it, that is for sure.
I didn’t bother to visit her site because I knew I would only become frustrated and angry. I don’t need that. Hatespew is ugly, confrontational and pointless. You help no one with it.
Totally agreed. I’ve had more than my fair share, and avoid those people like the plague.
Sweetie, people use their faith as a weapon all the time~ The real truth is that most people aren’t offended by God or Jesus, they are offended by the morons that believe so blindly that they are driven to be biased and rude about anything that doesn’t fit within their personal scheme of how the world should look. It is much easier for these people to scream and judge than be decent human beings - too much hard work to be decent, you know?
MG, I would think that it’s much harder to be so harsh and judgemental. Then again that’s just not my nature. Maybe some people are predisposed to such behavior.
Stephanie, those people bring no joy to anyone’s life. Why should anyone waste their time with them. Avoidance is the best route.

Oh, that Dani bitch makes me sick! She’s been on a shitstorm for a while now, but apparently it worked into our circle of friends. I was gonna post about her, too, but you know? She is JUST. NOT. WORTH. IT.
It’s scary to think that there are actually people out there that feel like that. I thought we got rid of them a long time ago.
We need to keep them from breeding.
Bless you sweety! I actually think people ought to go see her blog and get a taste of what she spews. Her type of people are scary and it doesn’t hurt to see the delusional side occasionally.
I personally don’t care what she believes but spewing hate in the name of religion is sickening. That’s what my post was all about.
On the other side of the coin, I’m a Pentecostal Christian and I have no problem with the life choices other people make… What’s interesting is that you get people who are discriminated against by fundamentalist religious groups discriminating against all of the people with that faith and assuming we all hate gay people.
My theory on it is more or less what you mentioned - God says in the bible that it’s no one’s place other than His own to pass judgement. The narrow-minded people who use their faith as a weapon against homosexuality are simply using a tool to hide their own fear and predjudice.
Aaaaaand… if God hates gay people, why make them?
In short, I agree with you and despise anyone who uses faith as an instrument to belittle other people.
I don’t waste my breath on people like that. They are just out there to get a rise out of people, well they get no such satisfaction from me.
wow. how people can be so nasty is beyond me. I mean, I can be a bitch but pleeeeeeeeease....that is far beyond anything I could ever do. Hate is wrong. Period.
GDG, just think..more and more people are becoming more tolerant of peoples differences as time goes on. People who are closed minded ignorant religious freaks who totally blow things out of proportion are not even worth our time.
I’m so glad there are more of us than them… it’s just a shame that they’re so much louder in this country.

I know, I have a hard time wrapping my brain around people that make a life out of being closed-minded and hateful. I just try to focus on the possibility that there is something in those people’s lives that have driven them to essentially shut down to reality and humanity.

MG, I guess it’s how they were raised. Hatespew is easily passed down through generations. It’s a terrible shame they have a tendency to breed so much.
