I can’t agree with you more on this movie. I think I only really laughed at one or two scenes…
ooh, i like my capcha word (toy) I think my mind is to dirty today
It’s one of those movies that if you sit through it, especially before hearing the hype, the end makes the whole movie worth it, and then makes it amusing when you watch it again. But if you’ve been listening to the hype, the movie is utter shit because you’re expecting it to be awesome.
I had to sit through that movie twice. My husband and my son love it. I don’t get it.
It’s funny, but in a really really random stupid humor way. I dunno if I’d find it funny still, but I did when it came out.
Kinda lost the funny after a bazillion people quoted it all the time....lol.
I love that movie- I don’t, however, love how it’s quoted every 2 seconds- that’s more annoying
I didn’t watch this whole movie, I hated it. I have no tolerance for a movie of stupidity.
I am so with you.
I really don’t like that kind of humor - i don’t think stupid is funny.
for that matter I also really really dislike that uncomfortable humor - where people get a laugh out of making fun of someone… I really just don’t get it.
One of the worst films I’ve ever seen and all my colleagues love it. Weirdoes.
I’m so glad I’m not alone in hating this random movie. I’m also glad I wasted no money on renting this stinker.
I guess it’s just one of those movies...you either love it or hate it. Kinda like Billy Madison
Billy Madison was stupid too, especially the first 10 minutes, but I was at least able to watch the entire movie.
Ummmm, I’m guessing it has nothing to do with cannons at Waterloo?
Heh, THAT would have at least been interesting!
My husband HATED it the first time he saw it. But then watched it again and loved it. Napoleon Dynamite is not for everyone, not everyone gets it. You need to be in the right mood, and with the right company. The first time I watched it, I came in towards the end. Soon before the final dance scene. I think that may be why I liked watching it so much when I finally saw the whole thing. I couldn’t imagine watching it on TV. I think it would lose its impact and transitions with commercials in between. And even though they should not have had to edit content (PG movie) most movies on TV are at least edited for time. Anyway, the final dance scene is worth watching the entire movie for. A historic moment in cinematic history. IMO
I tried watching it, but turned it off after about 30 minutes.
I’d like those 30 minutes back, please.
