Yes definitely, now is the time. A couple years ago the prices were ridiculously inflated. They seem to be reasonable now. I think as soon the interest rates attract enough buyers, the prices will go up again. If you are interested in LA, we can help you guys weed out the bad areas. It helps when you know someone in the area you’re about to move to.
I am long time friend with a lesbian couple in Austin, TX who bought a fixer-upper on a distress sale from a bank. They seem very happy rebuilding the property.
LOL whats scary is you can tell what was where. I see two bookshelves along the wall, the bed and a desk of some kind. Ya know, door mats keep about 80% of that stuff from getting on the floors to being with… but its on the walls, dude. And im willing to bet there is mold all the way down to the slab.
Jetgirl, no kidding! I just don’t know how people can live in such filth. That whole room is straight out of a horror movie, complete with scorched ceilings. Bleah.

I was telling BP the other day that if she really wanted to move to the west coast, now was the time to do it while the housing market was closer to reasonable.
