.75 for AIR?

The gas station around the corner from me has it free, which is rare, most places it’s a quarter.

That sucks but the flat tires suck more.  I let my tire get too low once and when I turned the corner it popped off the rim LOL.

LOL! I can totally imagine that, heehehe. BOING! and off it goes rolling off to the sidewalk, nearly hitting a pedestrian.

I have no idea what it is here, I should look next time.

And how much money did you lose to gas consumption while on your quest for cheap air?

We bought an emergency power supply/air compressor/battery jumper for our car.  Works well for keeping the tires at even pressure.

I knew someone was going to ask me that. The first place I checked was the place I normally get gas at (I had to fill up anyway).  The second place was right on the route on my way to work, so it was just a stop to look, and then back on my way to work. So no wasted gas!

I used to have an old air compressor around the house. I seem to have misplaced it when we last moved…

Hope your head is ok...I really wanted to make a bad airhead joke right there, but I’m not going there.

Really.

I see where you’re headed… just conk my head on the door again and use the air inside to fill up my tires! Sheer genius…

scratch the previous post here is from an official california gov site

I bought gas and wanted to use the air machine to fill up my tire. The machine said that I needed to insert 50 cents to start it. Isn’t air and water supposed to be free?

Gas stations are required to provide air and water free to customers who buy gasoline or diesel. You may have to ask the attendant for a token or to turn the equipment on for you. If the attendant does not give you a token or turn the equipment on, posted on the equipment is the 1-800-356-7057 number where you may call to file a complaint. You may also submit a complaint form online to the Division of Measurement Standards.

Some are still free here, other’s are 25 cents at the most.

And you’re supposed to use your hand to open doors ... not your noggin.  :

I’m shocked that the gas stations charge for air.  Here it is always free!  Crazy!
