my sister in law has one and brought it over for christmas last year. everyone played - even great nana got up to bat. it was a riot.
I tried to convince my son that he wanted one (so i could secretly play) but he is a faithful playstation fan - rats.

Wii golf, bowling, and tennis are the main reasons I love my Wii.  They’re so fun!

Avitable | 10.15.2007 | 8:26 AM

Weese, the audience for the Wii seems to be group parties, some adults, and young children. Older boys want more action and, um, bloodshed.  oh oh

Avitable, but for a really good workout, you can’t beat boxing! The first time I tried it I got so into it I started wheezing!

Geeky Dragon Girl | 10.15.2007 | 8:36 AM

Yeah, the boxing is pain-inducing.

Avitable | 10.15.2007 | 8:44 AM

If you like the golf on wiisports, try Tiger Woods 08. It’s even more fun, and you have more control over what you do

I love my Wii.  As in I would marry it.  LOL The Wii Sports is one of my favorites, but they also have the Warioware Smooth Moves or whatever the name is..I can never remember.  SO much fun!  Oh January 1st, they’re coming out with Wii Fitness!  I’m sooo buying that.  smile

Avi, it definitely gives you some respect for the real boxers.

Amanda, I think I prefer the simplified controls of the Wii Sports version. Any more than that and I’ll reject golf again as overly technical lawn billiards.

KG, Warioware is definitely on my wish list! I’d read about it and does seem fun. Wii Fitness sounds good too, I’ll have to see what that’s about.

Geeky Dragon Girl | 10.16.2007 | 7:02 AM

I love my Wii but I need to play it more. Lately I have not had time. smile

I bit the bullet and went out golfing with the Husband last year, not having a clue about what I was doing.
I LOVED IT!
I was more surprised than him.  Heh.
‘course, I love playing pool too.  And I kick ass.  LOL ...

Husband brought me home Zelda for the wii.  I haven’t tried it yet, but it came with a shield and sword and all sorts of fun stuff.

Watching the girls box is a riot.  They bounce all over the place and look like they’re ready to pass out.  Too cute.

J, it’s a great way to wear ‘em out before bedtime! Wow Zelda comes with a sword and shield? You should wear it when you play it!

Divalicious, at least it will be there when you finally do have time.

Geeky Dragon Girl | 10.17.2007 | 7:11 AM

I hope I’ve been a good enough girl all year so Santa will bring me the Wii I’ve been asking for.....

I want to bowl!

Weekends Off | 10.22.2007 | 4:14 AM

If you plan on getting one though, don’t wait for Christmas! They’ll be even harder to find than they are now.

Geeky Dragon Girl | 10.22.2007 | 7:57 AM

We’re considering a Wii for the exact reasons you did. Entertainment and activity in the privacy of your own home without expense or fear of embarassment. wink

lazydog | 10.24.2007 | 8:43 AM

It definitely is great entertainment without making you feel like a total couch potato.
