Damn, I hadn’t thought about that song in ages. And yes, the 80’s were that long ago. Sad, isn’t it?

***oh, my verification word is “sensual”...oooh la la!***

Lucy | 05.01.2006 | 1:20 PM

The 80s were a loooong time ago. Moses and Pharaoh are in my 11th grade yearbook. (Pharaoh was on the varsity track team.)

Joefish | 05.01.2006 | 1:42 PM

Damn girl, you make me LAUGH! Thanks for that, I needed it. smile

Lucy | 05.01.2006 | 2:05 PM

dammit.. i hate that song and now it’s in my head! lol

jennster | 05.01.2006 | 2:43 PM

Joe- Was Moses on the swim team, then? It makes for easy meets when you can just part the pool in half, and walk down the middle.

adena | 05.01.2006 | 2:48 PM

You guys are all WRONG! The 80s were just… yesterday! Weren’t they?

Pharoah and Moses were in rival gangs weren’t they? Graffitti was everywhere.

Geeky Dragon Girl | 05.01.2006 | 2:52 PM

Yeah, it said stuff like “Ra Rules!” and “Yaweh kicks Ra’s Ass!”

adena | 05.01.2006 | 3:06 PM

Like fer sure. The 80’s were like totally just yesterday.

I love that song! We listen to the 80’s station at work. That was a totally awesome decade.

Heather | 05.01.2006 | 9:05 PM

"Yaweh kicks Ra’s ass!” rotfl

Totally Heather, tons of awesome movies and more one-hit wonders than any other decade.

Geeky Dragon Girl | 05.01.2006 | 9:46 PM

Turns out the 80s were a long time ago. *sigh* I was talking to a girl in my cricket team who wasn’t even BORN in the 80s, I mean aren’t people born in the 90s meant to be little children.

Carolyn | 05.02.2006 | 12:35 AM

Well I wasn’t born for most of the 80’s so for me that is a long time ago… Do you hate me yet? grin

Colin Brooks | 05.02.2006 | 3:27 AM

My 13 year old was born in ‘93. He looks at me like I’m stupid when I crank the radio up to “Safety Dance” or “Whip It”. He just doesn’t get it!

Ha! My word is halfwit. I wish I could do the word verification like that in WP.

Heather | 05.02.2006 | 4:35 AM

Carolyn, I agree! Aren’t 80s children supposed to still be little??

Colin, try as I might, I can’t hate my commenters. smile

Heather, I guess a lot of 80s stuff sounds bizarre by today’s standards. A lot of it is quite… unique!

Geeky Dragon Girl | 05.02.2006 | 6:53 AM

I love whip it! I love a lot of ‘80s stuff. I stop at leg warmers and day glo but I like the music. I love watching the Wedding Singer cause it brings back all the childhood memories.

T. | 05.02.2006 | 7:26 AM

hmm, now what do you consider ‘elderly’?

weese | 05.02.2006 | 10:39 AM

Heh, good question weese. Generally speaking, over 70. However I am referring more to a person’s appearance/health and how they hold themselves. There are 76 year olds that look much younger and more robust than some 65 year olds.

Geeky Dragon Girl | 05.02.2006 | 10:42 AM

Hehe, I’m an 80’s child GDG and I’m a fully grown adult thank you very much! tongue laugh

Sarah | 05.02.2006 | 11:40 AM

No no, it’s not possible. You must be mistaken. wink

Geeky Dragon Girl | 05.02.2006 | 12:27 PM

LOL she probably has spent a lot of time around her grandkids. My grandma is 99 years old and she knows a lot about today’s music. My grannie likes Nickleback

Di | 05.03.2006 | 8:48 AM

I hope my inner gangsta never leaves. I’ll be the eccentric old duck lady who blasts rap music from her beat up old car. dance
